The completed development will have the Cellar Off Licence and of retain the very busy and vital Post Office as well as a new cafe.
This follows on from O’Kane Supermarkets Ltd very successful and much similar refurbishment of their Supervalu store at Burn Road in Cookstown earlier this year. This store was refurbished creating a modern supermarket and Post Office and an extensive new 18,000 square foot retail unit for the highly regarded retailer Home Bargains .Similarly this was a development right in the Town Centre securing existing jobs and creating new employment.
Mr John Wallace the Omagh store manager for O’Kane Supermarkets Ltd said: This announcement is a welcome and exciting positive boost to the retail offering in Omagh. The inevitable increase in footfall that such a prestigious operator as Primark will draw to the town will certainly bring substantial benefits to the entire town centre and we are absolutely delighted to incorporate this highly regarded tenant in our own overall store development plans. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff and loyal customers for their much valued support in the last 20 years and look forward to this next exciting phase.”
