Council Seeks Your View on the New Economic Development Plan

Chamber members may be interested in the upcoming New Economic Development Plan being put forward by Fermanagh & Omagh Council. An information roadshow will visiting various locations this week and next. The council wants the views of all business owners on devlopment of their New Economic Development Plan.

Their open invitiation follows:

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has appointed RSM McClure Watters (Consulting) Ltd to develop an Economic Development Plan for the period 2015-2019. In developing the Plan, the Council is keen to consult with representatives from the local business community, business organisations, business agencies and local community/voluntary organisations at any of the four scheduled workshops:

·         23 September 2015 (6.30 pm – 9.00 pm) – Ecclesville Centre, Fintona
·         29 September 2015 (2.00 pm – 4.30 pm) – Town Hall, Enniskillen
·         30 September 2015 (2.00 pm – 4.30 pm) – Strule Arts Centre, Omagh
·         1 October 2015 (6.30 pm – 9.00 pm) – Castle Park Centre, Lisnaskea

Each workshop will last approximately two hours and will provide an ideal opportunity for you to put forward your views and help shape the future economic development of the area. The Council views this consultation as an important element in the development of the Economic Development Plan and this series of workshops will also contribute to the Community Plan being developed for the district.
